Fake "TRUTH", fake "free speech"

I'm immediately greeted with the following text:

If anybody can access their TOS page, I'd highly appreciate it if you could copypasta it for me, so I can get through it and check it out.

Truth Social's "privacy" policy, TOS and Kommiefornia specific policy (because they love bowing at the jackboots of their masters).

All Truth Social policies are abysmal for freedom and privacy. They admit to collecting (in the last 12 months) such things as real name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, Internet Protocol address, email address, account name, Social Security number, driver’s license number, passport number, or other similar identifiers as well as browsing history, search history, information on "a consumer's interaction" with a website, application, or advertisement.

Quite a lot of privacy issues indeed.
But I'm more interested in the "free speech" part for the purpose of FALI.

But now that at least we have access to the TOS through the Wayback Machine, let's check it out then.

You agree that by accessing the Service, you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with all of these Terms of Service, then you are expressly prohibited from using the Service and you must discontinue use immediately.

Already pointing out that you're not a free speech platform at all, but we're at the top of the TOS, so we don't know to what TOS we're supposed to agree or disagree with yet.

The Service is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. All users who are minors in the jurisdiction in which they reside (generally under the age of 18) must have the permission of, and be directly supervised by, their parent or guardian to use the Service. If you are a minor, you must have your parent or guardian read and agree to these Terms of Service prior to you using the Service.

So that means you'll allow porn and loli art?
(Spoiler alert: nope.)

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Intellectual property rights on a free speech platform!?
Quite a massive contradiction though!

TRUTH Social is the "Big Tent" of social networking.

You do realize you're actively excluding almost the entire world right?
And even in areas you let in, they must still conform to auth-right ideology (which we'll get into later down the line), meaning you're effectively excluding even more people.
So not a "Big Tent", more like "a paper thin slice of a cake".

If you access the Service from the European Union, Asia, or any other region of the world

I can't access your instance here in Asia, but pretty pointless to even mention that in the first place.

4. USER REPRESENTATIONS

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

(1) all registration information you submit will be true, accurate, current, and complete;

So no parody accounts allowed, Shitter is already better than your instance with nobody on it.

(6) you will not access the Service through automated or non-human means, whether through a bot, script, or otherwise;

YOU, the slave, must use it yourself, we're only interested in spying on the slaves!

Which is why you should never host soyvices in a western country, because not only they all have over the top bloated governments, they're actively being enforced too.

If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, we have the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Service (or any portion thereof).

No anonymity allowed, pleb.

5. USER REGISTRATION

You may be required to register for the Service, by providing your name, date of birth, and email address as well as to create a username and password to set up your Profile and your account. You agree to keep your password confidential, if applicable, and will be responsible for all use of your account and password. We reserve the right to remove, reclaim, or change a username you select if we determine, in our sole discretion, (a) that such username is inappropriate, obscene, or otherwise objectionable; (b) that such username is dormant, inactive or unused for an extended period of time exceeding 5 months or more; or (c) that such username is being used for user impersonation or username squatting which is a violation hereunder.

So literally username censorship...
Also, why the fuck do you need a name and a date of birth while on the thousands upon thousands of other instances you don't have to provide this detail!?
Wouldn't you feel scammed if you'd use this disservice only to realize that not only every other Fedi instance doesn't require any of this bullshit, you have actually access to a way wider audience throughout the entire ActivityPub network too (excluding the FediBlock users, but they're purposefully isolating themselves into safe spaces anyway).

Sorry boomer, but your soyware is literally a fork of Mastodon, which is released under the GPL license, therefore copying and adapting any of the source code is every user's right, and your stupid TOS can't stop that.
If you would have developed the soyware from the ground up, you wouldn't have to deal with that, plus forking an existing project for the purpose of removing its core features in itself is already a shit move to begin with, so you'd be better off hiring some freelancers to make something "from scratch" (because they'll probably use some framework, so they don't make anything from scratch most likely).

Imagine being so full of soy that you need not 1, not 2, but 5 bans on anything R-18, despite explicitely stating that you need to be over 18 years old in order to create an account.
Proves even more that current year Americucks are forever children, never become adults...

So going from "you're the full owner of your contributions, therefore you have the right to say whatever you want, and we can't censor you over that" to "if you say something we don't like, then you will pay for that" to "oh nevermind, we have the right to censor all of the intellectual property you're supposed to own".
Boy that escalated quickly...

10. GUIDELINES FOR REVIEWS/RATINGS OR COMMENTS

So basically, only cat pictures and cat videos allowed.

(4) your Interactive Content should not contain references to any illegal activity;
(5) you should not be affiliated with competitors if posting negative reviews or negative Interactive Content;

(7) you may not post any false, unlawful, threatening, defamatory, harassing or misleading statements;
(8) you may not post any indecent, , pornographic, profane, or other unlawful statements;
(9) you may not organize a campaign encouraging others to post Interactive Content or reviews, whether positive or negative.

Just imagine running a "free speech" platform where you can't:

• show any nudity
• make lewd jokes
• say the word "nigger"
• say anything about regilious terrorism (which is a scam anyway, but still)
• say anything about men or women (or even mention the fact there are only 2 genders)
• say anything about countries
• say anything about boomers
• mention whether you're married or not
• say anything about gays, lesbians, bisexuals, asexuals, straights etc.
• say anything about disabilities
• point out misconduct
• voice concerns about external (dis)services you're unhappy about
• make "unlawful statements"
• ask others to post reviews

Fucking hell, even JewTube and Shitter aren't that bad!

13. SUBMISSIONS

Your mind are belong to us.
Basically, they're admitting right in your fucking face that by signing up for their disservice, you're literally selling your soul.

16. MONITORING AND RESTRICTIONS

Oh my kami-sama, for the love of the human race, avoid this disservice!
Especially if you want to avoid appearing in court and be guaranteed to lose the case (because it's operated by a government person, so they will ALWAYS be on the winning side no matter what!).

    If we terminate or suspend your account for any reason, you are prohibited from registering and creating a new account under your name, a fake or borrowed name, or the name of any third party, even if you may be acting on behalf of the third party.

Do you need even more proof that using this disservice is dangerous?
On every other instance or platform with a "1 account per person" rule, they just say "you're not allowed to evade bans, or we'll ban your next accounts as well".
But this particular instance goes a whole step further; literally criminalizing you, dragging you to court, and throwing you in prison for evading bans.
This shit is dangerous, holy shit!

23. WAIVER OF CLASS ACTION

NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING CONTAINED HEREIN, YOU AGREE TO ABSOLUTELY AND UNCONDITIONALLY WAIVE ANY AND ALL RIGHTS TO PARTICIPATE IN OR TO BE INCLUDED IN ANY CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS OR INCLUSION IN ANY MULTI-PARTY ACTIONS OR SUITS AGAINST US, ANY OF OUR AFFILIATES, SPONSORS, SUBSIDIARIES, VENDORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR ANY OTHER PERSON OR ENTITY ASSOCIATED THEREWITH.

Basically the same as above; they can sue you over anything, but you can't sue them.
I only made it into a different point because the former is in all caps, so I thought it's approriate to respond to that in all caps too.

All with all, this is by far the longest TOS I've ever seen on a Fedi (though defederated) instance, and also by far the most authoritarian.
So authoritarian even, this so-called "free speech" platform makes the censorship happy Big Tech seem like they value free speech!
